Position Overview: The Vice President of Wireless will be responsible for designing, implementing and launching Ultimate Electronics Wireless strategy. Ideal candidate will have extensive experience with both a multi-unit national retail organization as well as experience with a top Wireless carrier. The focus will be on stores and the guest experience/operations/merchandising/mark Job Responsibilities: · Design, develop and evaluate strategic, financial and economic models supporting the assessment and valuation of potential opportunities. · Building upon already established relationships with wireless carriers; represent Ultimate Electronics in developing productive relationships with clients and prospects. · Lead the development of a sales strategy and approach to targeted wireless carrier prospects, and establish the sales process and delivery of our value proposition to each client to meet operational, legal and regulatory requirements. · Responsible for the implementation of key strategies/policies in respect to sales, marketing, finance, HR, training, legal and customer operations. · Provides leadership/partnership to the retail markets where we exist in partnership with the head of stores in order to influences employee morale. · Lead the team to develop individual strategies aligns with corporate strategies ensuring the distribution channels meet company expectations. · Effectively manage and support the career development of staff to include identifying and developing bench strength, designing development plans, and ongoing succession planning to include job satisfaction and retention. · Build a customer centric culture. Key Requirements: · Must have extensive multi-unit retail/stores background, strong understanding of retail operations that also include CE, Appliances, Movies, Games, PC Solutions. · Proven ability to create strategies to grow the business and drive revenue, margin, gross profit comp and guest satisfaction. · Strong wireless training background within a mulit-unit retail environment. · Proven track record around the development of compensation plans that incent sales partners. · Strong understanding of merchandising principles including development of plan-o-grams; maintaining inventory levels by location, developing and managing vendor relationships, pricing and promotion/ad planning with Marketing team. · Ability to hire, develop and retain top talent. · Proven track record to develop a culture of heavy succession planning and performance management. Skills · Bachelor’s degree preferred · 15+ years experience in the wireless communications industry. Strong knowledge of retail markets and ability to design and implement corporate and field strategies. · Sense of urgency in completing projects and meeting deadlines. · Proven leadership experience required. · Established industry relationships and understanding of emerging market trends and technologies. · Executive-level leadership managing against P&L goals, budgeting, forecasting and driving results.
