MapQuest touches 1 of 5 users domestically each month on the Internet in helpful and innovative ways. We are looking for talented, ambitious and self directed individuals to create the next generation of online mapping experiences for consumers and advertisers. Position Requirements Travel: Not required. Work Sponsorship Available: No Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree Required Background / Testing: Required Salary Range: $75- $110K Requirements: • 3-5 years of online consumer website product management or product design experience • Hands on experience developing Internet products and technologies with strong technical abilities • Excellent strategic skills and ability to translate strategy into tactical plans • Ability to balance consumer needs and advertiser requirements with business priorities and articulate rationale behind decisions • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with ability to interpret and translate data into key learnings and product strategy • Outstanding team player with positive attitude and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written and presentation skills at all audience levels • A proven track record of developing and launching online consumer products • BA/BS is required – Computer Science or related technical field preferred Position Description The Product Manager is responsible for the overall user experience on MapQuest.com, delivering key features that drive engagement, delight our users and meet our business needs. This individual will work closely with Engineering, Marketing, Monetization and Business Planning to define and translate product strategy into innovative and compelling features and bring those features to market. The preferred Product Manager should have a passion for building great products, a strong understanding of usability and web design principles, an aptitude for solving real world consumer needs and the ability to quickly respond to change with demonstrated experience for delivering consumer oriented online products. Core Responsibilities: • Own every aspect of the user experience on MapQuest.com, putting user needs first in the definition of requirements. • Analyze and understand user trends and key business issues to develop product strategies that balance consumer and business needs. • Translate broad strategic objectives into specific tactical plans and execute the product plan with a keen interest on quality. • Effectively collaborate with technical, business and marketing teams to develop products from conception to implementation and deliver projects on time. • Lead multi-disciplinary teams and build positive relationships within MapQuest, its partners and AOL • Maintain an excellent understanding of the market and competitors and identify opportunities to drive product improvements and new product development • Manage and execute go-to-market strategies presentations at all levels of audience • Define, measure and improve key product metrics Contact Stephanie.Quinones@entechnetworks.com Edited by Jason Stout on Apr 27, 2010 10:30 PM |
