MoMoCo Members
I wanted to thank all of those that came out Monday night, we had some great presenters, and some really valuable discussion about the future of mobile development and consumer expectations. While we had some networking happening before the meeting began, about half of the 60 or so members stayed after for another 30-45 minutes and many expressed they had made valuable connections before leaving.
I will work to get as many of the presentations from the meeting posted to the website as we can. I encourage everyone to explore the MoMoCo website, where you can view some market research, as well as some jobs that have been posted, and hopefully more discussions and topics will be started by the community for others to follow and comment on. I also would encourage the entire community to sign up for the LinkedIn Group we have created, everyone can keep up with the latest events, news, and information from the community, the group name is Mobile Monday Colorado.
For those of you who have not paid attention to the growth of the community I wanted to point out that we have almost 90 members and we have only been publicizing the start of MoMoCo for a few weeks. Many folks had been to Mobile Monday events in other cities and were happy to see the Colorado chapter starting, and said they would spread the word. As with most things in life word-of-mouth advertising is hard to beat and we have definitely benefited from it here. With that I ask that you continue to spread the word so we can create the best possible community for mobile. That does not mean that they have to be with a mobile company, just an interest in learning more about mobile and what it might do for them. Remember our mission is to educate, inspire, and create business relationships for the local mobile community.
Next months meeting will focus on Location Based Services and again will be held at the TechStars offices on November 16th (agenda coming soon). I hope to see you all there for another interactive meeting and plenty of networking! Please feel free to contact me with any questions and/or suggestions.
Cheers!
